About Peter Young Men’s Shelter

Not far from Central Park and accessible via I-890, you can find the Peter Young Housing Industry and Treatment (PYHIT) Men’s Shelter on Duane Avenue in Schenectady, New York. Their facility includes a sober living men’s shelter with 36 units and 14 single room units to support your recovery and sober living needs and a comfortable and peer-supported environment.

Programs for Marginalized Adults

This shelter and PYHIT’s other residences provide a safe, structured living environment that supports your sobriety needs. These homes are provided to those experiencing homelessness or who have been marginalized in the housing market.

Their work program trains you in necessary life skills, provides basic education services, and other aids to help you meet your goals.
