About Perry County Counseling Center

Perry County Counseling Center in historic Du Quoin, Illinois, is a place that is all about helping you heal and move forward. What impresses me most about them is the wide array of life issues that they address. They assist people with addiction, mental health, homelessness and other life challenges. Their approach is person centered which means they will tailor their support to fit your circumstances. At this center, you will be invited to take an active part in your care.

Outpatient Support for Teens and Adults

I like their message of hope to their recipients that recovery is possible. Their program offers two levels of outpatient substance use treatment. They can conduct evaluations and treatment for you if you have had a DUI. These programs are available to both adults and teens.

Prevention Program for Kids

The Center also has a substance use prevention program for students who are in 4th to 9th grade in Jefferson and Perry county. In this program, your child can participate in a communication campaign and can learn how to safely store and dispose of medications. They even celebrate National Prevention Week with helpful committees.

Flexible Treatment Options

They offer outpatient mental health treatment to help you with anxiety and stress. This includes individual and group therapy and is available to individuals of all ages.

I think it’s great that if you’re unable to visit the facility, your treatment can be done via telehealth. Plus they extend 24/7 crisis services to care for you during critical moments.

They also have an 18 month residential program to help you develop skills for living independently. Lastly, I like the employment services extended by PCCC that include help with resumes, interviewing and even job leads to get you started.
