Pennsylvania Counseling Services York Psychiatric is a satellite facility located in York, Pennsylvania. They provide outpatient support for behavioral health and substance use disorders. It’s part of the PCS network that serves 11 counties state-wide and offers a telehealth feature for all Pennsylvanians. I like that mental health care is offered for all ages, while substance abuse treatment is restricted for adults and teens.

Addiction and Dual Diagnosis

Addiction is often present with other mental health needs, which is why I like that York Psychiatric provides support for substance abuse and any underlying causes. Some services are even available in Spanish.

There’ also an intensive outpatient therapy program designed for adults ages 18 and older. Meanwhile, there is an adolescent substance abuse therapy program which also includes contingency management.

Referrals When You Need It

Since the York Psychiatric center is limited to outpatient care, it might not be a perfect fit for all substance use disorders. For people with more severe addiction, this facility might refer you to the Lebanon Recovery Center, which is also part of PCS and offers immersive care.

Outpatient Rehab

While undergoing outpatient treatment in Pennsylvania, you’ll work through challenges such as cravings, soci...al skills, and relapse prevention as you meet with a recovery expert and attend 12-step meetings. This treatment may last a few weeks or several months, depending on your recovery needs.

Aftercare & Alumni Program

Following rehab, you can receive much-needed ongoing support through aftercare rehab in Pennsylvania. Services... may include financial planning, career guidance, legal advice, and other practical supports, as well as counseling and 12-step groups. Taking advantage of these resources greatly reduces the chance of relapse.
