About Pathways

Pathways Carroll County Behavioral Health Clinic in Carrollton, Georgia, is one of four separate behavioral health locations run by Pathways. Support is available to kids, teens and adults, as well as families. Founded in 1972, they have decades of experience treating a range of mental health and behavioral conditions, including substance abuse.

They provide Crisis Stabilization Units (CSUs) as community-based, residential alternatives to hospital care. Here, clients of all ages can access short term care for psychiatric crisis stabilization. Screening, evaluation, and sub acute detox services are available 24/7 in a residential setting.

Detox specifically takes place over a three to seven day period and is available to adults aged 18 and older. Clients aged 17 or younger may also be served on a case by case basis. During detox individuals can expect round the clock medical monitoring and support.

Following detox, many clients may move on to intensive residential treatment. This is available to adults who may benefit from 24/7 support. While engaging with this program, clients can access support for housing, financial issues, transport and health maintenance. Community activities are also provided, and residents are supported in building their own network to lean on in the future.

The center also offers a supported living program for adults aged 18 and older who have managed to remain consistently sober and do not require 24/7 supervision. This provides residents with a structured and safe living environment in which to maintain recovery as they transition back to independent living.

Relapse prevention and social skills are also taught here. You can also engage in case management services, random drug screens, and the monitoring of self-administered medications. Residents may also be linked up with local self-help groups or referred to counseling services as needed. Outpatient services for mental health and addiction are also available to clients of all ages in need of more flexible continuing care.
