About Pathways Inc
Pathways has over 25 locations throughout Kentucky, including the Professional Park Drive location in Louisa. They provide a wide range of services to support mental health and substance use disorders, including co-occurring disorders, in youth and adults.
What stands out to me is that they offer more than two dozen programs, including Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), DUI classes and services for pregnant women and new mothers. I also like that they accept Medicaid and have a sliding fee scale for those without insurance.
Evidence Based Care for Adolescents, Adults and Families
Along with the typical individual, group and family therapy, Pathways offers Community Support Services (CSS) for adults and children with a mental illness or co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders. The CSS program provides support to help clients live independently, learn life skills and improve emotional regulation and coping skills.
They also have a specialized addiction treatment program for parents called KSTEP. This program combines high quality treatment with child welfare support and family preservation services to help ensure the family heals together and doesn’t need to be separated. They also offer programs for families where children are neglected due to parental substance use. Plus they provide school based services for youth and peer support for all ages.
Amenities

Residential drug rehabs are often the preferred method of treatment, as they can be tailored to meet specific needs, offer focused therapeutic care, and provide the necessary tools to sustain recovery.

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an integrative, community-based care strategy designed to address the needs of persons with severe and/or complex mental illness or behavioral disorders. ACT is typically provided by a multidisciplinary team of medical and mental health care providers, social workers, therapists, and other specialists, including addiction recovery professionals. These services are frequently provided in the home and community to clients in crisis, those who are clinically unstable, and those who are unable or unwilling to travel to a hospital or clinic for in-person treatment.

Levels of Care
Kentucky outpatient rehab experts will assess your needs and create a treatment program tailored to your recovery. Treatment typically includes several hours of counseling each week as well as group therapy. You’ll probably also attend a support group such as NA or AA. Length of treatment varies based on your needs.
Kentucky dual diagnosis treatment centers focus on treating mental health disorders alongside addiction. Common methods include counseling, medication management, relapse prevention, and cognitive-behavior therapy.
The process of cleansing your body of addictive substances is called detox. This is usually the first step of drug rehab in Kentucky. You’ll receive round-the-clock care during this time, including medication to alleviate withdrawal symptoms.
