Pathway to Recovery La Marque – Closed

Located in La Marque, Texas, Pathway to Recovery offered a full continuum of care to individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Separate facilities were available for men and women. In addition to private insurance, they accepted state financed health plans other than Medicaid. However, they have since closed.

Emphasis on Family Involvement

I like that they emphasized family involvement in the recovery journey, encouraging clients to participate in weekly Family Focus Meetings and visitation during designated hours. Through individual, group, and family counseling they provided inpatient, outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs. Modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and 12 step facilitation were employed. They also offered grief intervention, denial reduction, and anger management services.

A Variety of Populations Served

Treatment was available to adult men and women, seniors, and transitional age young adults. Special programs were provided for veterans and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Court referred clients were also treated. Survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence were made to feel welcome as well.

I was pleased to find that clients express gratitude for the program. They described the staff as polite and helpful, and the environment as comfortable and genuine.

Situated on the Gulf Coast, La Marque offers an abundance of green space to compliment your therapy process. Mac McGaffey Highland Bayou Park features picnicking, BBQ pits, fishing, and a children’s playground for relaxation and recreation. Jack Brooks Park provides mountain bike trails and scenic hiking paths, perfect for some time away from city life. The Galveston County Fair and Rodeo has year round entertainment and events, fostering community connections.
