About Mariposa Lodge

Mariposa Lodge is a women's treatment center in San Jose, California. It is one of two residential facilities offered by Pathway Society. Women can get help based on their specific needs to address drug and alcohol addiction. The goal of this program is to help women become independent and responsible and live a life free of dependency on drugs.

Mariposa Lodge has 34 beds in their residential facility as well as six beds in their detox unit.
Detox is a process by which you will clear your body of drugs or alcohol. This process is safest when you have medical supervision around the clock. Mariposa Lodge has trained staff who will monitor your symptoms to make you as comfortable as possible during this process. Medications may be used to ease withdrawal symptoms and keep you medically safe.

After detox, you will step down into the residential area of the facility. Here, you will get individual and group counseling and possibly other therapeutic activities to help you make progress in your recovery. One of the big goals of inpatient treatment is to help you understand what led to your addiction. You can then reframe negative thought processes, learn how to identify your triggers and prevent relapse.

Many past clients credit being clean and sober for years thanks to Mariposa Lodge. Several say that the staff were caring and extremely compassionate and helpful. Others did not agree.
