About Pathfinder
The Pathfinder is a nonprofit residential program for men who want to rebuild their lives after addiction. This facility is located in Huntsville, Alabama. The Pathfinder charges affordable weekly fees for services that include lodgings, meals and all programming. Clients who also have a dual diagnosis are welcome as they are being treated by a mental health professional.
Pathfinder’s residential program is divided into four phases. Phase 1 lasts a minimum of six weeks and will include getting a sponsor and working on steps one through four of the AA 12 step program. Residents are expected to be working full time or be a full time student. Residents will progress through the other phases with added responsibilities as they go.
Phase 4 lasts a maximum of 26 weeks. In this phase, you may move into a residence if there’s space. You’ll also work with your sponsor to complete steps 11 and 12. Your focus will be discharge planning and effectively managing your money, bills and savings. Certificates of completion are given out to residents who complete the program in 24 weeks or longer.
