This office can connect you to any of their numerous programs in this county, as well as throughout the state.

Pacific Clinics accepts Medi Cal and may accept other insurance as well. Some programs require you to be enrolled in Medi Cal.

Family Resource Centers in Los Angeles County

There are several Family Resource Centers in this county that provide a wealth of treatment and support services. I like how you can get outpatient substance use treatment, counseling for mental health issues, and skills based education programs.

Family Resource Centers also have anger management classes and domestic violence support, along with parenting classes and support groups. The staff can also connect you to relevant community resources and social services depending on your needs.

The Hope Drop In Centers & Services for Transitional Aged Youths

You’ll find Hope Drop In Centers in Irwindale as well as Sa Jose and Oxnard. They provide support services for youth ages 15 to 25 with mental health and/or substance use disorders. They also help young people gain the skills they need to successfully become independent adults.

Youth who drop by can get hot meals, access to laundry supplies and hygiene products, and computer access. I’m impressed the staff can help with job searching, building a resume and improving interviewing skills.

The center also provides individual and group therapy, Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) services and a variety of other support. The goal is to help young people have a safe and constructive place to go where they can make friends, get help, and find positive role models.
