About Outreach House

Outreach House is a residential facility located in Ridgewood, New York, in Queens. It’s part of the greater Outreach network which provides outpatient and residential substance abuse treatment programs for both adults and teens. Outreach accepts most insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare and CHIP.

Residential Care for Teens and Adolescents

While the larger Outreach network provides care across a range of demographics, the Ridgewood location is a residential facility only that provides care specifically to teens and adolescents. This center provides both mental health and substance abuse treatment. The facility is designed for people between the ages of 12 and 18.

Dual Diagnosis Support

The immersive environment works to reduce dependency while also building critical skills you’ll need to navigate life after recovery. This can also include supporting dual diagnosis needs if other underlying mental health conditions are discovered. I noted that this facility also provides medication assisted treatment (MAT) to safely wean patients off of substances depending on the severity of their addiction.

Academic and Aftercare Services

Because this residence is designed for younger people, education is also central for this program. While at Outreach House, participants will receive full onsite schooling that meets New York City Department of Education standards. I like that there’s also access to aftercare which is managed from the Brooklyn facility in Greenpoint.
