UofL Health’s Peace Hospital is a nonprofit, private behavioral health care hospital located in Louisville, KY. They offer a full continuum of behavioral health and substance use services for patients including children, adolescents and adults. They have been serving the community since 1951. They accept all major insurance plans including Medicaid, Medicare, and private pay.
They provide services for patients with emotional, behavioral, psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders. For adults, services include acute inpatient, geriatric psychiatry inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. They offer specialized units for children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring disorders.
What struck me was that they have some complimentary services. There’s also Peace for Parents, which is a series of seminars and conversations with caregivers seminars without charge. Grief recovery method support groups, and aftercare are also provided. Their no-charge crisis assessments are available round the clock. They also welcome walk-ins.
