About Our Hope Association – The Lyon Street Home
The Lyon Street Home of Our Hope Association is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The organization is accredited by CARF. Alcohol and addiction residential treatment is provided to women only. They house up to 20 women at a time in a home-like setting. Their treatment is 90 days in length making the “gold standard” of treatment.
Some Medicaid and Medicare plans may be accepted. You’ll need to pay for your first 30 days of treatment at admissions.
The home consists of two buildings. The main building has two living spaces. The second and third floor of the home has all the bedrooms. On the first floor is the kitchen, staff offices and two living spaces.
I like that they recently renovated the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. The entire home received new carpets and all the rooms received a fresh coat of paint. To ensure everyone's safety, they also touched up the steps and the fire escape.
The second building is referred to as the cottage house. The cottage house has two bedrooms and has a community room.
During your first week of residential treatment you will receive a thorough biopsychosocial assessment. The results from this assessment will help the staff develop your personalized treatment plan.
During individual and group therapy, you’ll learn how to create a new and healthy daily routine. You’ll also learn to make choices that are consistent with the recovery process. To prepare you to return back to your loved ones and daily life, you’ll also be able to safely practice new behaviors and develop supportive sober relationships.
You may see that your plan may include different forms of therapy, aside from individual and group counseling. They have weekly outings, reiki and yoga sessions. I do like that at no additional costs, your family and loved ones are able to attend monthly education and information groups.
