LifeStance Health was founded in 2017. Since then, this treatment facility has opened multiple locations throughout the country, including the city of Kissimmee in Florida. At this location, they offer outpatient treatment to adolescents, children, and adults who are struggling with mental health conditions and substance abuse disorders. They also help out with medication management, porn addiction, relapse prevention, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), gambling addiction treatment, and aftercare.

Something that caught my eye was how flexible they are in providing treatment and meeting you where you are in your healing process.They offer traditional outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment (IOP), and telehealth services. This allows you to develop a schedule where you can prioritize your recovery and still maintain other obligations like employment, childcare, or continuing education. By receiving telehealth services you can also receive treatment in the comfort and privacy of your own home.

What stands out to me the most is their integrative care. The beginning stages of recovery can feel exhausting or stressful when you’re dealing with the effects of chemical dependency as well as symptoms relating to a mental health condition. They offer adult psychiatry, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychological testing, and evaluations. This allows you to get the healing you need for multiple areas that could be causing instability and improve your quality of life.

Another amazing feature available here is their treatment available for children and adolescents. This includes child psychiatry, play therapy, neuropsychological testing, and family therapy. If outdoor excursions are possible, you can take your kids to Brinson Park or the Oak Street Extension Preserve down the street to unwind and exercise. Children can be difficult, especially when they’re exhibiting at risk behaviors of being chemically dependent, rebellious behaviors, or struggles relating to their mental health. By receiving high quality care, your child and your family can heal, resolve conflict, and gain a better understanding of one another.
