About Options

Options Recovery Services’ Oakland location is an addiction and mental health facility that provides quality care and treatment to adults in the Bay Area of California. Interested clients have access to sober living housing, drug abuse counseling, mental health services, and more.

Helping Resolve Addictive Behaviors Since 1996

In the beginning, Options Recovery Services began in Berkeley as a court approved diversion treatment program in 1996. Due to the program’s incredible success, the facility quickly grew into the comprehensive treatment facility it is today.

One thing I find most interesting about Options Recovery Services is the way the facility truly impacts the community. According to their 2022-23 report, over 95% of the clients they treated reported having an income below the poverty line. Overall, 647 new clients were helped.

Offering a Wide Variety of Treatments

Another thing I think sets this facility apart is the wide variety of available treatment options. Clients can opt for courses that focus on yoga, anger management, smoking cessation, acupuncture, life skills, and self esteem courses.

Treatment can also occur in an individual setting, a men’s only group, or a women’s only group.
