About Open Door Ministries

Men who seek restoration, renewal and recovery through Christ in a loving atmosphere with a strong sense of community can turn to Open Doors Ministries for help. This faith-based residential substance use treatment center is situated in a peaceful rural setting in Magnolia, North Carolina. The location is convenient for visiting various natural and historic attractions such as Lake Leamon, Cypress Creek and Roger Dickson Farm. This makes it an ideal setting for peaceful reflection and personal growth.

Men who seek refuge at this facility are provided three square meals and a decent living space as they work toward overcoming their challenges. Despite their Christian roots, the program supports unbelievers and people from different faiths. Eligibility for admission is open to all males over 21 who genuinely seek healing. You must also have completed detox or have symptoms that don’t require high-intensity care.

Renewal and Recovery Through Christ

Open Door seeks to help residents overcome the unhealthy cycle of addiction and achieve complete renewal in Christ through structured residential activities involving spiritual teaching, therapy and faith-based support. Its tenet is that the word of God can help one overcome all life challenges including the pain, hurts and trauma that fuels the disease of addiction.

Residents can stay for 30, 60 or 90 days as they navigate recovery through Christ. This is something we like as it means you can approach recovery at your own pace.

While onsite, you’ll engage in daily group teachings and pastoral counseling to deepen your spiritual connection, address emotional wounds and strengthen your resolve to heal. You’ll also engage in daily devotional reading, personal Bible study and prayers to deepen your faith, promote inner healing and foster a lasting transformation in your recovery.

Besides classroom teaching and personal soul care the program incorporates comprehensive community work projects. This equips you with practical job readiness skills while fostering a sense of purpose, self-worth and the ability to contribute meaningfully to society even as you reenter the community.

These faith-based activities are combined with a disciplined schedule and a healthful climate alongside nutritious food and relaxing recreational activities. They are designed to treat body, mind and spirit.

Supportive Community Environment

Another thing I find quite compelling about the program is the communal spirit that exists among residents in this setting. This encourages camaraderie and a sense of belonging that reminds each man that they’re never alone in their journey toward renewal. It also inspires healthy relationship-building and a sense of shared purpose that reinforces personal growth. Residents are provided ongoing support to ensure stability and streamline their reentry into the community.
