About Omni Youth Services

OMNI provides accessible counseling services and community support services that strengthen youth, families and individuals in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. They offer individual, family and group counseling for adolescents with behavioral challenges including substance misuse.

Their experiential therapy approach uses hands-on activities to help you build real-life skills and connect learning to everyday challenges. Services are available both in-person and virtually in English and Spanish. They even offer programming for the LGBTQIA+ community in a safe and affirming space.

Their substance use treatment and recovery program for youths primarily involves a basic outpatient program (BOP). This program focuses on building responsibility, managing risks and reducing harm through structured approaches to help teens overcome substance use.

Skilled clinicians will first conduct a substance use assessment or evaluation upon intake. This enables them to provide clinical diagnosis and individualized treatment for you and your family. This is then followed by family, individual and group counseling that uses evidence based methods to achieve lasting recovery outcomes.

This program highly emphasizes family involvement because of the inherent importance of family relationships and the teen's home environment to recovery. Family counseling creates positive family dynamics by resolving conflicts, mending relationships and improving communication with loved ones. This strengthens the teen's support network which helps the recovery process.

The program may also include psychoeducation classes and relapse prevention planning. Urinalysis testing is randomly conducted as an objective method of accountability and to monitor treatment progress. The core attraction of this program is its flexibility. Teens can maintain regular daily activities like schooling while attending scheduled sessions.

OMNI also promotes healing among substance-using and substance-dependent teens through the “Seven Challenges” initiative. This program provides a framework that helps you think through your decisions including substance use. It inspires motivation and commitment to positive behavioral changes and guides you toward successfully implementing those changes. It also helps you address co-occurring life skill deficits, situational problems and psychological issues resulting from using.

The facility also provides school based substance use prevention and intervention support, parenting group counseling and specialized stress management programs. They offer 24/7 crisis intervention services for adolescents having severe mental health and substance use crises. Their full range of prevention services promote healthy behavior via evidence based and collaborative approaches. This may include education, awareness and policy initiatives that support the youth’s wellbeing in the community.
