About Old Pueblo Community Services
If you're in the Tucson, Arizona, area, you can benefit from a nonprofit organization called Old Pueblo Community Services. They've been serving their local community since 1996 and offer housing, counseling, and support services to any individual facing homelessness who wants to transform their life for the better. I noticed that they treat addiction in addition to all of their other services, making them a very well-rounded program.
A Variety of Programs for the Homeless
They offer low-barrier bridge housing, which is a short-term housing solution that aims to transition you into permanent housing in the future. They also offer re-entry recovery communities that are for anyone trying to re-enter the community after being incarcerated.
Something I like is that they offer veteran recovery communities as well. These are similar but provide housing and support services to veterans who are trying to reintegrate back into civilian life. You can also find supportive housing, which is essentially affordable housing. Finally, they have the Tucson Homeless Work Program to gives individuals experiencing homelessness a chance to find a job.
