About Archway

StarVista’s Archway program provides a variety of outpatient services for substance use disorder for adults in pre-trial and post-conviction services. There is no minimum treatment duration for clients, and they may be in treatment for several years. Clients attend individual and group therapy sessions, as well as other services as needed. I think it’s great that all their services are available in both English and Spanish so all clients can understand the treatment they are receiving

Drinking and Driving Programs

Archway has several programs for those who have received convictions for driving under the influence. Programs for first-time offenders include the Wet and Reckless Program, which is for those who have a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or less. Higher blood alcohol levels or testing positive for other drugs will cause clients to enter the First Offender Program which runs for 3, 6, or 9 months depending on the severity of the offence.

StarVista also offers a Deferred Entry of Judgement (DEJ) program for clients with convictions for possession or being under the influence of illegal drugs. The DEJ program runs for 8 to 16 weeks and consists of weekly group counseling sessions and 4 to 8 hours of individual counseling. Clients are also required to attend AA or NA meetings.

I like that self-referrals are encouraged, and StarVista also accepts referrals from self-service providers, law enforcement agencies, schools, and parents. Anger management and domestic violence programs are also available through Archway.
