The Oconee Center is a community service board that provides behavioral health services to six counties in Georgia. This program generally lasts for 30 days, and you’ll create a personalized treatment plan. Addictive disease services will connect you with transitional or permanent recovery housing. If you choose to live in connected housing, you’ll receive employment and vocational training.
Adults with mental illness can access an outpatient program that will include basic medical care, HIV testing, counseling and care management. They also offer pharmacy services like flu vaccines. If you need more intensive care, Oconee Center offers a day treatment program for adults with co-occurring disorders. This program meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. You’ll participate in group activities that promote empowerment, self advocacy and community living skills. This program will help you become more independent while being supported by professionals and your peers. You’ll be encouraged to practice real skills in order to get experience before you use them out in the community.
