About Ocean Mental Health Services Berkeley Center
Bright Harbor took over Ocean Mental Health Services. The network provides care and supportive services to adults who are struggling with co-occurring conditions and substance abuse disorders. Since 1959, their vision and mission have been to assist individuals to recover, restore, and transform their lives by providing individualized care. They have a treatment center located in a secluded corner of Bayville, New Jersey. This center focuses mostly on depression, but may treat co-occurring substance use disorders.
What makes this center so unique is their flexibility of treatment and supportive services you have access to once getting connected. They offer traditional outpatient care, and you can receive outpatient services virtually or in a hybrid format. This allows you to create a schedule more convenient for you throughout the week with the option of healing in the comfort of your own home.
What sticks out to me the most is their Ambulatory Withdraw Management (AWM) treatment, commonly identified as outpatient detox. Depending on your circumstances, inpatient treatment may not seem possible due to lack or support with maintaining financial responsibilities or childcare. This helps you get the immediate care you need in a safe environment with clinical support. They also offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and recovery coaching from peer specialists who have shared lived experience and can help you develop a recovery plan.
Something else that caught my eye is the multifaceted services available for outpatient treatment. This includes case management, group therapy, psychiatric evaluation, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy, and medication monitoring combined with counseling as well as education. By receiving integrative care, you can overcome challenges that could be impacting your recovery like depression or anxiety.
When you or a loved one has struggled with addiction it impacts your loved ones as well. Their Intensive family Support Services (IFSS) program was developed to assist families repair their relationships, rebuild trust, resolve conflict, and utilize coping healthy skills. This program includes psycho-educational programs and family support groups.
They accept Medicaid and Medicare insurance.
