About NuWay Community Services

NuWay Community Services is a methadone clinic located in Chicago, Illinois. If you are struggling with substance use and need treatment and support rooted in medication services and addiction counseling, you will find that care here.

This clinic sits just under 15 minutes south of downtown Chicago, and it's easy to get to, thanks to the different public transportation services that run through the community. This clinic is also close to residential neighborhoods and waterfront parks like Jackson and Rainbow Beach Park.

Methadone Medication Assisted Treatment

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) using FDA approved medications like methadone are offered here. This medication can help you manage ongoing cravings, especially during the early parts of your recovery.

You’ll find that solution oriented counseling in individual and group settings are offered here. When used alongside medication assisted treatment, the effects can be powerful in helping you manage thoughts of relapse.

There are also support programs offered here as well. I like that these support groups target specific struggles and give you a sense of community where you can connect with others who are in recovery.

Person Focused Care

A big component of this organization’s mission that I value is the team here will support you clinically but will also advocate for you in the way you need. Their intervention program supports families and individuals who are just starting recovery, and their continuing recovery program will support you after treatment. The mission here is long term sobriety and their advocacy, educational support and dedication can help get you there.

Conveniently Located

Because you're close to the heart of Chicago, this clinic is also close to different places of employment, community spaces, shopping centers and affordable housing options. This makes it easier to make time to receive services at the clinic even if you have work or school obligations.

Previous clients say the building is somewhat dated and they would prefer a more modern feel for the facilities. However, they say that the older building doesn’t take away from the type of care you receive.
