Accessible Care for Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorder Treatment in Cadillac
Co-occurring disorders are complex because you may have a substance use that induces a mental illness or a mental illness may lead to substance use. The program offered by NLCMHA varies depending on the severity and nature of your illness. I noticed that they offer several levels of care including outpatient treatment, peer support specialist services, partial hospitalization, and medication treatment. Although this is an outpatient program only open on weekdays, they can refer clients to an inpatient hospitalization program.
Another plus I noticed about this program is the language services for non-English speakers. They offer language assistance for clients free of charge.
FAST - Family Assessment & Safety Team Mobile Mental Health in Wexford County
FAST is a mobile mental health crisis response team for families with children from birth to 20 years of age experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This looks like a great service for families with a child in crisis. The team is available at all hours every day of the week and can go to the home or school.
One of the best things about this service is the follow up care that lasts up to 90 days while the team works to get services in place. The team works with the family by identifying the capabilities and strengths of family members to help resolve the crisis.
