The Northeastern Oklahoma Council on Alcoholism (NOCA) has been delivering clinically effective substance use recovery for residents of Northeastern Oklahoma since 1975. Located in Miami, Oklahoma, they foster improved community health by eliminating barriers to treatment and providing tailored care in a community setting.

They offer priority care to people who use IV drugs, pregnant women with substance use issues and folks struggling with co-occurring disorders. Residential Rehab for Adult Men in Northeastern Oklahoma

NOCA operates a six month residential recovery program for adult males in the small city of Miami within Ottawa County, Oklahoma. This facility is situated on West Steve Owens Boulevard just off of US Route 69 and a mile West of Interstate 44. These corridors ensure quick access for patients coming from Vinita, Joplin and Tulsa.

Addiction Treatment with Specialized Therapies

The first 30 days of your treatment involve intense therapeutic sessions based on Hazelden's cognitive behavioral techniques. This proven method combines cognitive therapy with 12-step principles to help you navigate harmful thoughts or behaviors that lead to substance use. It equips you with sound practical skills to manage cravings and triggers to prevent relapse.

The remaining five months focus on weekly relapse prevention, addressing criminal thinking patterns and developing essential life management skills to support lasting abstinence. You’re also required to be financially responsible for your parenting, legal and personal financial obligations during this period since the first 30 days are funded by the state. You must be fully employed or obtain employment while onsite to be able to meet your financial obligations. The program supports full time students as well.
