About NKY Med Clinic
Serving Covington, Kentucky, NKY Med Clinic Covington offers outpatient addiction treatment for opioid addiction in adults. This is a standard outpatient program that includes group and individual therapy with medication assisted treatment (MAT). Specialized and individualized recovery plans include components that address the physical, mental and emotional aspects of substance abuse. Unique programming is available for pregnant clients and young adults.
This flexible outpatient program allows you to keep up with your regular life while also receiving intensive treatment. When you begin you’ll receive a clinical and medical assessment that looks at your physical and mental health. During individual counseling you’ll craft strategies around your specific goals and challenges. In the counseling groups you’ll meet with peers to discuss feedback on your thoughts, actions and progress. Psychoeducation classes will help you learn about the effects of substance use and how it’s affecting your life. Therapy sessions will focus on relapse prevention and the stages of change. You’ll also learn how to communicate and manage your emotions.
One cool thing about this facility is that you can receive virtual care for medication assisted treatment with Suboxone prescriptions. Methadone is also dispensed at the facility. They have early morning medication hours to accommodate a variety of schedules.
Previous clients have said the counselors are wonderful and this clinic was a God-send for them. Some mention long wait times for medications in the mornings, so this may be important to keep in mind as you schedule dosing.
