The sixth annual Pull’n for Recovery firetruck pull returns to Toyota Field in Madison, Alabama on September 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Partnership for a Drug Free Community hosts the event.
How the Firetruck Pull Works
The format matches the name. Local businesses, first responders, community groups and recovery supporters form teams and compete to pull a full size firetruck across the course.
The event tests strength and teamwork but it also raises money. Team entry fees and donations support substance use prevention assessments, treatment referrals, case management, peer recovery support and other recovery resources across North Alabama.
Organizers hold the event during National Recovery Month. They want to celebrate recovery and remind people that help exists in their communities.
