About Newaygo County Mental Health

Newaygo County Mental Health is a CARF accredited treatment center located in White Cloud, Michigan. They provide treatment for children, adolescents, adults, veterans, and families who are struggling with substance use disorders (SUD) and mental health conditions.

They were founded in 1972 with a vision and mission to assist individuals who needed support, counseling, medications and foster care. Since then, they have continued to grow and expand their team of clinicians and have developed more programs to support you in your journey of healing.

This facility is located in the small, cozy, nature-filled town of White Cloud. Their location provides lots of opportunities for you to go outside and engage in nature therapy. You can hike, fish, and camp at multiple spots nearby including the White River. What sticks out to me the most is their program for skill building. This gives you a chance to engage in activities that can help you build job skills and social skills. You can also engage in volunteer work.
