Atlanta Metro Treatment Center in Norcross, Georgia is a now-closed former New Season facility that provided addiction treatment to adults aged 18 and older including pregnant individuals and those at risk of HIV and AIDS.
Support was primarily provided to residents of Norcross and the Atlanta metro area but extended to surrounding communities. Medicare and Medicaid were accepted along with most private insurance plans. Self-pay was also accepted.

Short and Long-Term Support For Substance Abuse

Programming was personalized, beginning with intake to help shape your tailored treatment plan. From here, you would have consulted with the team regarding whether short or long-term support was more appropriate for you.

I appreciate that medication assisted treatment (MAT) was also an option here with FDA-approved medications like buprenorphine (Suboxone), naltrexone, and methadone used to help clients manage ongoing uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms and cravings. MAT was typically offered alongside group and individual counseling for a holistic approach that supported both body and mind.

Regular medical supervision was also included, allowing for regular tweaks and adjustments to ensure treatment was as effective as possible. Relapse prevention initiatives and aftercare planning were also provided to support clients’ sustained recovery efforts.

Removing the Stigma Around Addiction Recovery

In its time, the center was dedicated to removing the stigma associated with addiction and substance abuse with its team dedicated to developing a strong therapeutic alliance with clients.
