About NM Solutions

New Mexico Solutions is a CARF accredited organization that provides substance use disorder and mental health treatment services. They had a treatment center on Coors Boulevard in Albuquerque, which is now permanently closed. The facility also offered addiction and mental health treatment services. The facility accepted Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance, as well as military insurance, including TRICARE.

Conveniently Located Addiction Treatment Services in New Mexico

The facility was conveniently located on State Road 45 (Coors Boulevard) and near I-40. The Rio Grande Nature and Center State Park is 4.5 miles from the former treatment facility. Clients could visit the nature center and an urban wildlife center for relaxed walks and scenic views of the Rio Grande River.

The center offered outpatient services that included an intensive outpatient program (IOP). The program was for adolescents and adults and met three days per week for six weeks. The sessions were three hours each, and clients were regularly tested for drugs and alcohol.

I noticed that the programs were gender specific. They included multimedia presentations about the core concepts of the disease of addiction, alcoholism, and recovery. They included families as a critical aspect of the program and offered them counseling.

Supportive Services for Clients in Albuquerque

I think clients appreciated the case management services. Case managers are a great addition to any program because they help clients navigate the system and access critical services. Case managers can assist with welfare, food stamps, educational activities, advocacy, and medical services.

Other supported services offered at this clinic included assertive community treatment (ACT). The clinic provided ACT services on a long term basis and worked to maintain continuity with caregivers over the duration of treatment.

ACT was for clients with chronic mental illness. The program provided psychosocial services for clients with severe and persistent mental illness, including co-occurring issues such as addiction, court system involvement, or homelessness. Services were available 24/7.

The facility at this address is now permanently closed. However, the provider offers similar services at two other Albuquerque locations, as well as a facility in Santa Fe.
