About New Life Community Services

New Life Community Services is a nonprofit alcohol and drug rehab facility located in Santa Cruz, California. Levels of care include inpatient treatment and aftercare services. Their services are available to young adults, men, women and LGBTQ+ individuals of all backgrounds and walks of life.

The residential program at New Life features an integrated faith based 12 Step social model at the heart of its treatment ethos. A biblical perspective is offered for clients open to a more spiritual approach. Programming includes group, individual and family counseling as well as multicultural services, vocational and educational support and toxicology screening and monitoring. Upon arrival, individuals receive their personalized treatment plan and access to drug and alcohol re-entry education resources and seminars. Staff can help clients find and maintain employment, community service or schooling where relevant. Parents also have the option to bring children and adolescents to live onsite with them during recovery free of charge.

Aftercare at New Life allows individuals to continue group and individual counseling and attend classes following the completion of their residential program. Continued care aims to support a sustainable and long term recovery as individuals adapt and transition to regular daily life and independent living.

New Life accepts self pay and sliding scale payment options to fund further intensive treatment. They also work with many commercial insurance options including Aetna, Humana, Cigna, and United Healthcare. Clients are advised to clarify coverage with individual providers regarding out of network benefits.
