About New Horizons Recovery Center

New Horizons Recovery Center offers substance use counseling for adults over age 19 in Huntsville, Alabama. As part of the Wellstone network that’s been serving the North Alabama area since 1969, they also provide services to individuals of all ages at their other locations. This center now goes by the name Wellstone–Huntsville.

They take Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance. If you need help with costs, they can adjust their fees based on your household size and income. Services are also available in Spanish.

Day and Evening IOP Options

Intensive outpatient programs help you stabilize until you can step down to a lower level of care. Flexible scheduling allows for day and evening appointments and treatment usually runs for several weeks with multiple sessions each week.

Priority Admission Offered

Priority admission is given to pregnant women, women with dependent children and folks with IV substance use. It’s worth noting that if a higher level of care is required, they’ll provide referrals to residential or inpatient treatment centers.
