About New Hope Transitional Support
Bay Cove Human Services of South Weymouth, Massachusetts has a range of residential programs for men and women seeking treatment for substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders. Outpatient services are also available.
Bay Cove is also a provider of medication-assisted treatment (MAT). They have a number of outreach services to help homeless individuals with substance use disorders. This includes an emergency center.
Highly Personalized Residential Programs
Bay Cove is host to a range of residential programs, each designed for SUD treatment but with a different specialty. For example, there are separate programs for men and women. Each house incorporates the needs of people who identify as that gender into the recovery program to develop relevant coping skills and address trauma.
Homeless Outreach and Support
I think it's noteworthy that Bay Cove has treatment options specifically for homeless individuals facing a variety of challenges. These include the CASPAR New Day and Grow House (for women) and the Mirasol Center for Healing. Both offer extensive support and safety for those living on the street, including clinical and social services.
But the crown in the jewel for me is the First Step Outreach Program. Even those of us with easy access to helpful resources face internal and external challenges to getting the help we know we need. It's no surprise that this is even harder when someone has no home.
This program takes help out of the clinic and meets vulnerable adults where they are. From there, they'll connect them with services to improve their lives, including substance use treatment. A program that goes out of its way to find those in need like this is a valuable asset to any community.
Serving the Boston Area for More Than 45 Years
Bay Cove has seen a lot of changes in its long history, not just in addiction treatment but also in the communities it serves. Their programs are ever evolving in response to these shifting landscapes. They may be a good fit if having treatment that's rooted in the local area and its people is important to you.
