About New Hope Corps
New Hope is a nonprofit, Christian residential and outpatient drug rehab center for men. They offer medication assisted treatment and homelessness support. They’re based out of Homestead, Florida, and help adult clients through Biblical values paired with a secular balance.
You’ll get treatment designed to heal your physical, emotional, social and mental health. I like that clients get licensed clinicians as well as pastoral counseling. If you’re struggling with addiction, mental illness or homelessness, New Hope can help. They mostly work with uninsured and underinsured men in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.
Their residential program is typically 90 days, but could be longer if needed. Residents get an assessment followed by a custom treatment plan and optional faith-based activities. Their approach works to get at the root of addiction with love and compassion. They offer education and therapy groups, medication, and skills training. They have 12 Step meetings onsite and offsite. Regular recreational activities with your peers will improve your physical health as well as social skills and sober network.
Medication assisted treatment gives you access to prescription medication to help with cravings. They offer various medications to treat opioid use including buprenorphine, naltrexone, and Sublocade.
New Hope also has a street outreach program. It helps homeless people get housing as soon as possible. From emergency shelter to mental health or substance abuse treatment, they help people take the steps they need to get housing.
I like that New Hope offers peer support services for all residential and outpatient clients. It can be helpful to get support and encouragement from someone who really gets it. These peer recovery specialists are certified by the Florida Certification Board and can give you hope as you progress on your journey.
