About New Beginnings Inc.

The small town of Martin, Georgia, was incorporated in 1891 near a railroad and was an important part of the shipping industry for farm products. Today, the town has fewer than 500 residents, and in this tranquil setting, you’ll find the New Beginnings residential addiction treatment program. This Pentecostal Christian faith based program provides treatment for adult women, including those with children and teen girls.

New Beginnings does not accept health insurance and they charge a monthly fee. Clients must commit to at least 12 months. They accept women coming out of prison and from the community.

Faith Based Residential Treatment Services

The team at New Beginnings includes Certified Addiction Counselors, case managers, and other staff. Services include individual and group counseling as well as family therapy and support.

Therapy uses approaches such as solution focused therapy and reality therapy, which focus on your responsibility for your actions and ability to implement solutions to your current situation. One thing I find to be a unique part of this program is that they require a significant amount of church attendance. Church takes place from 7 am to 9 am and from 7 pm to 9 pm every day, except for Friday nights.

The S.M.I.L.E. Program for Mothers

The founders of New Beginnings have a strong desire to see families stay together, which is why they have a dorm dedicated to women with their children. Mothers in the program take parenting classes and learn the life skills they need to live a healthy, productive life with their children. I like that New Beginnings also provides child care so the mothers can work during the day when they reach an appropriate point in the program.
