Support for Mental Health Challenges to Prevent Relapse

Neuse Enterprises has been building independence in the community, providing day programs and vocational training, mental health services and transportation to support individuals who have mental health conditions or other disabilities.

I saw that they don’t offer a substance use disorder program, but can support mental health challenges through various strategies that help prevent relapse for someone in recovery and offer drug abuse and misuse prevention.

The adult developmental vocational program is a day program that addresses employment opportunities, volunteer placements and life skills development to improve the client's transition and integration into the community. This day support utilizes individual and group based services for men and women aged 16 years and older.

Psychosocial Rehab with a Recovery Focus

I’m impressed that their mental health program offers psychosocial rehabilitation to support adults with psychiatric disabilities. Their primary goal is for their clients to achieve greater independence and lead a self-directed life within the community. The services empower their clients to build healthy coping skills while using natural and community-based support.

They emphasize employment and active participation, which reduces relapse by providing goals and purpose for their clients. They also engage in a variety of skill building and educational activities, including learning Leisure skills so they can manage their free time meaningfully.
