About Neponset River House

Neponset River House is a private facility in Norwood, Massachusetts. They feature dual diagnosis care for adults grappling with mental illnesses and substance use disorders. They offer a broad array of programs to help clients overcome various practical, physical, and psychological barriers to achieve their goals and fulfill their potential.

Comprehensive Support to Get You Back on Your Feet

It’s my impression that this nonprofit is wholeheartedly invested in the people they serve. They understand that addiction can infiltrate all facets of people’s lives, leading to issues such as unemployment, houselessness, financial insecurity, isolation, and physical health problems.

They try to help people address all these challenges while treating their underlying illnesses. For example, they've a gym, wellness programs, peer support, educational courses, job support, free meals, and social workers who can help connect you with additional resources in the community.

Additionally, the facility provides a 12 Step self-help program for people in recovery. This is a good complement to traditional alcohol and drug rehab.

A Sense of Community You Can Depend On

Another thing I really appreciate about Neponset River House is that they do their best to make everybody feel welcome and valued. Also, the center seems more like a clubhouse than a clinic and has a warm, friendly vibe.

Clients say they feel a strong sense of belonging here. “I don't know what I'd do without all the support I get here, not just from staff but mostly from other people with similar backgrounds or same issues,” one client said.
