About Mount Saint Vincent Pediatric Behavioral Health

Mount Saint Vincent’s Pediatric Behavioral Health facility helps young people work through mental and behavioral challenges caused by trauma, neglect, or abuse. This may include substance misuse, even though addiction isn’t at the core of their treatment focus. They’ve been around for over 140 years and are situated in Denver, Colorado.

They offer outpatient therapy for children ages 2 to 18 from their facility, as well as in-home therapy for children between the ages of 2 and 12. When helpful, they can arrange virtual appointments.

Strengthen Your Family Unit

The heart of their therapy program is strengthening your family unit so you can draw closer during rough patches. They guide parents toward building structure that allows for healthy communication and openness. I like that they tailor their approach to support the values of each family they work with.

Day Treatment Program with Educational Support

Another program designed to improve the quality of life for kids is their day treatment and education program. Staffers take children between the ages of 5 and 13 through classes that support their eventual return to public schools.

Along with academic support and guidance, this program gives children tools for emotional wellness. I’m impressed that the kids learn to function at their full potential in spite of hardships they’re working through.
