About Morrison Child & Family Services

Morrison Child and Family Services is located in Gresham, Oregon. They offer a wide range of culturally responsive, trauma informed programs. They can help you with mental health and substance abuse, trauma and family services.

Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment

Their mental health and substance abuse programs are offered in an outpatient setting. They have mental health specialists to work with people 2-18 years old. They help with depression, anxiety, ADHD and disruptive behavior.

They also provide help for kids who have experienced abuse and neglect, as well as those who have fallen into substance abuse patterns. What stands out to me is that they have community based and school based programs, too.

Help for Sex Trafficking Victims

What I really like about this treatment center is that they have a unique program for victims of sex trafficking. This program, called SAGE, is a residential program that helps those 11-17 years old achieve their goals, grow and become empowered.

They have 16 beds at this long-term treatment center, with stays typically between 12 and 18 months. They have a high ratio of staff to youth.

This program provides mental health and substance abuse treatment as well as an onsite school that has a credit recovery option or help getting a GED. They also provide education on the impact that sex trafficking has on survivors, and they do post discharge follow-ups.

Amenities

Day School

Addiction treatment programs provide an opportunity to get your life back on track with access to school classes or college courses. Whether you want to finish your GED or go back to school to learn a new trade, facilities often enlist tutors and teachers who are certified or licensed by the state to oversee self-study or distance-learning education.

Residential Setting

Residential drug rehab provides the comforts of home with the therapeutic support needed to successfully recover. Benefits of an inpatient program include increased safety, a higher success rate, and the time and distance given to focus on recovery. Residential drug rehabs are often the preferred method of treatment, as they can be tailored to meet specific needs, offer focused therapeutic care, and provide the necessary tools to sustain recovery.

Addiction Treatment Programs

Teen & Adolescent Program

Choosing an age-specific rehab is beneficial because participants can interact with their peers. A young adult program in Oregon offers this opportunity, and it provides age-appropriate activities and therapies.

Men's Rehab

Men can find it helpful to attend men’s rehab in Oregon to help them focus on their recovery goals and treatment program. The gender-specific treatment removes distractions that can be caused by the presence of females.

Women's Rehab

Female bodies are affected differently by substance abuse than male bodies. Women’s rehab in Oregon addresses these and other differences, to provide effective treatment for women.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

A guiding principle of cognitive behavioral therapy in Oregon is that people struggling with substance use disorder can learn how to cope in new ways and make positive changes. This treatment method empowers individuals with the skills to do so.

LGBTQ Friendly Rehab

A variety of treatment methods are used in LGBTQ-friendly rehab in Oregon. Tailored to the needs of this population, treatment methods often include intensive counseling to address risk factors, group therapy sessions with other LGBTQ patients, and treatment for co-occurring disorders.

Drug Rehab

Drug rehab in Oregon offers a full continuum of care for those struggling with addiction. From detox, to inpatient, to outpatient, to aftercare, Oregon residents can find the support they need for recovery. This treatment empowers individuals to replace drug use with positive alternatives and develop a healthier lifestyle.

Levels of Care

Outpatient Rehab

For many, outpatient rehab in Oregon is a natural next step after inpatient treatment. This less restrictive environment offers further counseling and support while you live at home. You’ll attend treatment sessions and 12-step meetings to provide accountability and continued growth, for as long as you need it.

Dual Diagnosis & Mental Health

When you struggle with both mental illness and addiction, these conditions aggravate each other. Dual diagnosis treatment in Oregon is important to treat both co-occurring disorders. Common methods include medication management and counseling.
