About Mile High Recovery Center

The Mile High Recovery Center is a treatment center in Denver, Colorado, that offers inpatient treatment to men, women and veterans who are struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. Services available include medication-assisted treatment (MAT), equine therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, family therapy and nutrition education programs.

Mile High Recovery Center was established in 2016. It was developed by the executive director Brice Hancock who opened a sober living home in this area. He then opened nine of them, along with a comprehensive treatment center. With a of highly skilled professionals and individuals with first-hand experience from chemical dependency who are now in recovery, he was able to create a space for ongoing support, treatment, and care.

Their Inpatient treatment gives you a chance to focus on your healing journey by addressing all the areas of your life that became unmanageable. Your loved ones could have also been heavily impacted, and this can put strain on your relationships and create resentment. Family therapy provides a safe atmosphere for you and your loved ones to have challenging conversations, resolve conflict and build trust.

Nutrition education programs can promote healthier eating habits, encourage well-balanced diets and help you prioritize self-care. During your time in treatment, individualized nutrition counseling sessions, workshops and nutrition classes will be incorporated. Raising awareness of the importance of vitamins, fatty acids, antioxidants and protein can help you develop a healthier lifestyle.

MAT can help you if you are struggling with the impacts of withdrawals and cravings from chemical dependency. This helps with brain function and improves your quality of life. You will be prescribed this medication along with psychotherapy to create more manageability in day-to-day life.

Where this treatment center is located creates an opportunity for you to get connected to the community and have fun. Denver offers ghost tours, national parks, downtown walking food tours, botanic gardens and a variety of different restaurants.
