About NAMI Next Steps Program

Next Steps provides behavioral health, substance abuse, and physical health services for youth and adults 18 years of age and older, including programs for older adults. Assistance is also available for significant others and family members of persons in the Next Steps program. They're out in San Diego, California.

They offer individualized services and connections to community resources for up to 90 days. The goal is for clients to transition back into the community at the end of the program. To do this, they have a diverse staff of men and women of all backgrounds and ethnicities.

The outpatient program lasts up to 90 days and includes coaching and mentoring, peer and family support, community resources for mental health and substance abuse, and assistance with obtaining insurance.

Aftercare offers help for continued success after navigating back into the community. Participants may receive educational resources to help with personal goals related to mental and physical health.
