Outpatient treatment for adults struggling with addiction is based on a client’s individual needs. It will include a tailored combination of group and individual counseling, relapse prevention, substance use education, life skills training, gender-specific groups, anger management and HIV education and testing.
Addiction treatment for adolescents aims to help young people understand substance use as a disease and the recovery process, accept responsibility for their actions, learn appropriate social behaviors, and make positive changes. Services for adolescents include group and individual counseling, family therapy and support, parent education and support for educational goals.
MHMR also offers residential substance use treatment for adults at the nearby Pine Street Rehabilitation Center and for adolescents at the Youth Recovery Campus.
