About MHMRTC CARE House
The Care House of My Health My Resources (MHMR) of Tarrant County in Fort Worth, Texas is a youth inpatient facility for ages 13 through 17. It’s specifically a crisis stabilization facility where substance use disorders and co occurring psychiatric disorders are treated.
The program only accepts voluntary admissions and is free of charge. They are accredited by CARF and NCQA and are certified by Texas Health and Human Services.
Specialized Addiction and Mental Health Treatment for Teens
Youth will receive counseling and will participate with other youth in group education and discussions both onsite and during outings. Group sessions will teach you how to manage your anger, teach you how to prevent relapses, and utilize 12 step methods.
The program lasts for 27 days and provides medication management and case management. After completion of residential treatment, we encourage you to continue treatment with their youth outpatient substance abuse program.
Treatment Without Disrupting Education
You will continue your school studies on a computer supplied by Care House. Additional educational courses include physical wellness classes and art classes. I think it’s valuable that they allow you to get the thorough treatment you need while helping you stay on track with school so you don’t have to catch up after you recover.
MHMR Outpatient Substance Use Program
While this location is a residential facility, MHMR has a complementing outpatient treatment program too. The outpatient program offers counseling with a group of your peers as well as one on one counseling. Your family will be involved in your recovery with educational sessions for your parents and family support groups.
We know the education you will receive about substance use will provide more of an understanding about addiction and give you a firmer foundation for kicking negative behaviors. You will understand more about how to recover successfully, make positive changes in your life, and accept responsibility for your actions. If you actively participate in your recovery, you will lead a happier and healthier life.
