You will team up with the staff to help create your own individualized treatment plan. They offer day and evening sessions, which I like.

While you will focus on addressing your alcohol and/or substance use issues, you will also address the emotional and psychological part of addiction. You’ll also address the challenges that may have been a contributing factor of your substance use and addiction.

What stood out to me is that they will provide you with the tools and encouragement to establish communication with your family and other close relationships. The goal would be to repair the damages that your substance abuse may have caused.

When you have completed your intensive outpatient treatment, you will have the option to join a continuing care group. By joining this group, you can have a healthy sober support system. This type of peer support can help you sustain long term recovery.
