About Meridell Achievement Center
Children and teens ages 10 to 17, of all genders, are admitted to Meridell Achievement Center, a residential treatment program in Liberty Hill, Texas. The programs treat psychiatric and neurological issues, including bipolar disorder, ADHD and PTSD.
For autism, they admit children who are verbal and in the moderate to high functioning range, at levels 1 and 2, when the IQ is 70 or above. They don’t admit level 3, or an IQ below 70.
TRICARE and Medicaid Rules
If you’re on Texas Medicaid or CHIP (the Children’s Health Insurance Program), Meridell doesn’t accept either one. The center isn’t a provider under Texas Medicaid managed care, and residential treatment isn’t covered by Texas Medicaid.
They take TRICARE, the health coverage for military families, and they serve those families in the United States and other countries. You can plan the cost around TRICARE rather than wonder if a military plan is accepted.
A Ki Charter Academy application and enrollment packet is available. Family therapy runs each week, and patients can have visits, phone calls and therapeutic passes off the campus.
