About MentorWorks

Riverton, Utah, is a suburb of Salt Lake City and it’s where you’ll find MentorWorks, a transitional living program for adult men who’ve finished substance use treatment. MentorWorks is operated by The Foundation for Family Life and provides a safe, substance free living environment.

Health insurance generally doesn’t cover sober living, but MentorWorks has an outpatient treatment program available. If you participate in outpatient treatment, your health coverage may cover some or all of the costs. The MentorWorks team can help you understand your payment options.

Recovery Housing for Men in Riverton

The sober living homes provided by MentorWorks are designed to create a sense of camaraderie among the residents so it doesn’t just feel like a recovery residence. I’m impressed that it feels more like family.

The program provides many of the basics, including a bed, bedding, toiletries, WiFi and free laundry machines. They provide UTA bus passes for transportation and some food staples to supplement each resident’s personal food purchases.

MentorWorks also offers mentoring and counseling services as well as case management services. I saw that they also help you understand what it takes to get permanent housing and support you as you move in that direction.

Outpatient Treatment Services Available

Those who live at MentorWorks have access to Redwood Recovery, which is an outpatient treatment center located at the Family Life Center in Riverton. They have a partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and general outpatient care.

These treatment services help you reinforce the habits and mindsets you learned at your primary treatment program. Redwood Recovery includes individual and group therapy focused on life skills, family life and relapse prevention.
