About Mental Health Center of Denver Adult Recovery Services

WellPower’s Recovery Center is located in Denver, Colorado. This facility offers outpatient treatment services for mental and physical healing by focusing on a client’s strengths and individual recovery journey.

One of the things I like most about WellPower is that they recognize that each client has a unique set of treatment needs and recovery goals and will tailor services to meet these needs. Plus, they offer several levels of care with more structured treatment programs available for clients with complex mental health and behavioral health needs or substance use disorders.

Different Levels of Outpatient Treatment

The levels of treatment range from 1 to 5, with level 5 having the highest level of intensity. It is designed for clients who have recently been homeless, are transitioning from a residential program, have involvement in the criminal justice system, and/or are struggling with co-occurring mental health disorders. Other levels of outpatient care are less intense, but alongside treatment, they can still provide clients with housing assistance and access to community resources.

Outpatient treatment services include group counseling and individual therapy, as well as psychiatric treatments such as psychotherapy and medication to help manage mental health symptoms, such as panic attacks, low mood, and lethargy.

Strategic Harm Reduction Program

I really like WellPower’s approach to harm reduction, which is a public health approach that minimizes the negative effects of behaviors surrounding addiction and substance use. Harm reduction measures include distributing fentanyl test strips so people can test their substances for the potent opioid. Other measures include Narcan distribution, which reverses opioid overdoses, peer support, and addiction work groups.
