Tailored Dual Diagnosis Treatment
I was impressed by their dedication to help adults recover from substance use disorders and cooccurring mental health conditions like depression and anxiety. Their staff of board-certified psychiatrists, nurses, social workers and counselors collaborated with patients to plan treatment and aftercare options tailored to meet individual needs. They had special experience working with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Community Based and Trauma Informed Care
Naukeag’s programming is ideal for those who have gone through detox and need continuing addiction care in a structured environment. When the Naukeag location was open, their comprehensive services stood out to me. They offered group and individual counseling as well as medication consultations. They used trauma informed and evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and integrated group therapy. An emphasis was placed on building a sense of community in recovery and providing opportunities for patients to engage in therapeutic peer recovery activities.
Peaceful Belmont Campus Location
Naukeag was located on a historic Belmont campus, in a quiet community with beautiful grounds, complete with a gazebo. They offered comfortable single and double occupancy rooms and common areas for conversation. The serene setting allowed patients to focus exclusively on treatment and recovery.
