About Kenmore Recovery Home
The nonprofit McIntyre House is now Kenmore Recovery Home. It’s a residential substance abuse recovery house for men. They’re located in Los Angeles, California, in a quiet neighborhood with connections to the rest of the city. At the time of writing, they’re currently renovating their historic home.
Kenmore emphasizes the importance of socialization in rehabilitation. Their program includes group sessions and meals, and clients share bedrooms. The 12 Step model is key to their approach as well.

Residents also have access to computers with internet access. This feature is something you don't always find with residential programs.
Promoting Community Involvement During Your Stay
During your stay clients are encouraged to find and join local support groups outside of treatment. This may seem redundant at first, but it makes a lot of sense when you take a long term view of recovery. If you have outdoor activities, consider catching a game at LACC Stadium or the exhibits at the Los Angeles Museum of Love.
You'll want to have a support network in place when you're out of treatment. Finding and connecting with others in recovery can seem like a daunting task on your own.
