About Mayas House

Based in Cairo, Georgia, Maya’s House is an inpatient addiction treatment program for women and children in South Georgia. Support is available to women of all ethnicities, sexualities and backgrounds including pregnant people and those with dual diagnosis mental health issues.

This inpatient program requires residents to have gone through detox. Priority is extended to pregnant individuals and TANF recipients. Treatment here consists of a number of different therapy methods including individual psychotherapy sessions, family counseling, self image therapy and psychodrama. Addiction education and skills development are also available as well as support in finding and maintaining work. This program takes a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to promoting a sustainable and long term recovery for its residents.

This treatment program is recommended for individuals who may have struggled with or not seen results through outpatient therapy alone or have not seen positive results through other treatment centers. Treatment here is also recommended to anyone who feels they’re on a downward spiral and want to give recovery another go or anyone who may benefit from early intervention to prevent their addiction from escalating. Residents here typically stay for an average of one year.
