About Maryhaven Center of Hope New Hope
Maryhaven Center of Hope New Hope is a 30 bed medically monitored crisis center in Freeport, New York. They provide protective care that feels supportive for folks in crisis due to alcohol or substance abuse including opioid use disorder. This short term residential unit primarily serves individuals with mild opioid withdrawal symptoms who don’t need full medical detox. You’ll also be welcomed if you’ve finished medical detox at a hospital and are waiting to enter an inpatient drug or alcohol treatment program.
They accept referrals from inpatient/outpatient programs, hospital emergency rooms and the criminal justice system. They’re all about helping you stabilize, regain your strength and get ready for the next steps in your recovery journey.
They can connect you with medical support if necessary. Their trained clinical professionals are available 24/7 to help with any emergencies or urgent needs. Their services may include counseling and therapy sessions to help you address the emotional and psychological aspects of your substance use.
They may even offer group therapy where you can share experiences and build a sense of community during your recovery journey. The best thing about this program is that it is free. Treatment is essentially paid for with money forfeited by drug dealers in criminal cases. They can connect you to community resources that support your recovery after stabilization. This may include safe and supportive housing, vocational assistance and medical care.
