About Mary Hall Freedom Village

Mary Hall Freedom Village, formerly known as Mary Hall Freedom House, provides residential substance abuse treatment for women in Sandy Springs, Georgia. They also offer many other services to help women and their families overcome homelessness, poverty, and mental illness. Women can access residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and general outpatient treatment. They also blend in mental health support during these programs. All their recovery programs are accredited by CARF.

The length of residential treatment varies, but at least 60 days of care is recommended. Women may bring their children with them if space permits. During your time in the residential program, you’ll have daily groups that focus on addiction education, trauma, self care, and the 12 Steps of recovery. Staff is available 24/7 to monitor and support you. Mental health concerns often go hand-in-hand with addiction. Mary Hall Freedom Village will offer groups to address domestic violence, sexual trauma, and other concerns.

Their PHP, also known as day treatment, lets you live at home while getting a full-day’s worth of treatment at the center. This program is intensive and structured and includes group therapy and case management.

After you’ve progressed more in your recovery, you’ll step down into the intensive outpatient level of care. This program can begin 60 days after you’ve begun residential care. You’ll be able to get a job and continue to work on your specific treatment goals. You’ll get better coping skills and learn how to succeed at being more self-sufficient.

Mary Hall Freedom Village also offers recovery housing for women and women and children. These transitional living homes help you save up money so you can be independent. They also offer long-term sober living apartments to support your continued sobriety.

The RISE program is for pregnant or recently postpartum women who are struggling with substance abuse. I like that they offer so many different supports like postpartum depression counseling, computer skills, high school equivalency skills, parenting classes and coaching, and family planning.
